This award has been set up by the Thomas Dammann Junior Memorial Trust to honour the life of the late Thomas Dammann Junior.

The Trust is a charity established in 1985 which makes awards to successful applicants for furthering their research and practice, for example by visiting archives, exhibitions, museums, galleries and buildings of architectural importance.

Applicants must have a special purpose and a specific programme intended to broaden their knowledge and/or practice in the visual or applied arts, craft, design, architecture or the history of art, architecture and design.
